Rules
RULES
Let's get down to it - you all know the basic rules of RP. If you don't, you have common sense and should, therefore, be just fine anyway. Breaking these rules won't usually end in immediate expulsion from the game, but cause major OOC drama, and it will happen. Souri is all about basic fun. There is no heavy plot, no huge expectations, but these are some of our biggest expectations from you, the player.

CHARACTERS
Very basically - no Mary Sues or Gary Stus. That is, flawless characters. They're no fun to play or play with, so save yourself the rejection of you application, and make your characters as real (and wonderfully flawed!) as they can be!

PLAYED-BYS
Played-bys should look age appropriate. We're relatively lenient with PBs, but we do reserve the right to reject a PB because they look too old, too young, unlike their description in your application, or anything else. And of course, different sets of icons (for example, when the PB was younger) are acceptable, but we may ask for specification if the PB is questionable. If it is unacceptable, we'll simply ask for a different PB. That's all!

LIMITS
At the moment, four characters is the maximum. None of your characters can be in the same year AND house, and three of them must be in different years. We also ask that if you have four characters, you have at least one of both genders.

OOC DRAMA
This includes cliques, teasing, rudeness, disrespect, harassment - anything really that makes you feel unwelcome by another player. Souri is serious about drama. It's not fun for anyone and can lead to expulsion from the game. However, we understand it can happen by accident. That being said, if you feel you are the victim of OOC drama (a clique, a particular player, etc), please contact a mod. When that happens, the people/person will be spoken to. That is their first warning. If it happens two more times, both with ample reminding, they will be removed from the game. However, this is strictly OOC. Characters don't get along, it's nothing personal. When it becomes personal, that's when it is to be dealt with.

ACTIVITY
It's not too difficult. We ask for some sign of life (a thread or a journal entry) every two weeks. Activity checks will be done each month showing a list of characters who have been inactive for two weeks or more. You will then have a week to become active or contact a mod and let them know what's going on. After that, the character will be removed. Hiatuses are, of course, allowed.

THREADS
Should be done in a
Who,
What,
When,
Where,
Rating,
Status, format.
Make sure to put the beginning of the thread under an lj-cut to reserve space.

JOURNALS
Entries in journals are public to everyone else with a journal. There are ways to make things private, however.
They include:

Hexing something private -
PRIVATE TO FRANK LONGBOTTOM

OMG! I HAZ A SECRET!

/PRIVATE
These cannot be broken by anyone unless discussed with the player posting it.

Strikeouts-
Anything written in a strikeout is the same as having your character write something and cross it out with their pen. No one can read it, but they can see a bit scratch on the paper.

Make sure to be specific about private messages. Use names to clarify who can read the message and who can't.

MODLINESS
Mods are people, too! Keep in touch about things that are confusing, incorrect, or something similar. The mods will be asking for a lot of help because the players are the necessities of RPs!
